Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last five or ten years, you should know what an influencer is. Just in case, let’s explain.
An influencer is someone with a large following on a social media platform. This could be YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok or Pinterest. They have such power over their audience that they can influence consumer decision making, such as whether or not someone buys a product. By promoting a product to their fan base, an influencer makes bank from the company that produces that product.
For some people, being an influencer is their full-time gig, and they make their big bucks by partnering with brands in order to promote products to their audience.
Who We Talk To
We’ll chat to some of the big names in the influencer community and share with our audience everything and anything about this new phenomenon.
There are some obvious parallels between business success and influencer success, as the majority of topics on the Podcast. Often, influencers start with a small follower pool – like your own social media channels. Through hard work and careful crafting of their image, they grow this follower and fan base into the hundreds of thousands or millions.
Once established, they would generally have massive potential to influence the decisions of their followers. Influences are now big business, and that’s why we’re interested in chatting to some of the Big Fish in this market.
So, in this section, you’ll see our episodes featuring who’s who in the zoo in influencer land, from within Australia.
